ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Christine Adamec was born in Malden, Massachusetts. A "military brat,"
she had attended twelve schools by the time she graduated from high school,
including one in Izmir, Turkey. She received her Bachelor's degree in psychology
from the University of New Hampshire and her Master's in Business Administration
from New Hampshire College.
After college graduation, Ms. Adamec received her commission as an Air Force
officer and served on active duty. She was awarded the Air Force Commendation
Medal for her service. Subsequently an Air Force Reservist, Ms. Adamec retired
from the Air Force Reserve with the rank of major.
Ms. Adamec has been a professional writer since 1981, and has written hundreds
of magazine features for such diverse publications as McCall's, Employee
Relations & Human Resources Bulletin, 80 Micro, Executive Female, and
Expo Magazine. Ms. Adamec has also assisted many businesspeople, attorneys,
and physicians by editing and writing articles, pamphlets, and books. The
common denominator, says Adamec, is that everything she writes, no matter
how brief or extensive, has the underlying goal of helping the reader in
some way. Her self-help books include There ARE Babies to Adopt (updated
for Kensington, 1996) and Start and Run a Profitable Freelance Writing Business
(SelfCounsel Press, 1994).
She lives in Palm Bay, Florida, with her husband and their three children.
