Had some beer today, got stupid on someone and regretted it. I feel like I'm the only one going through my special problems, being single for so long...

Hi Owlish,
I'm enjoying your new blog - keep up the good insights. Lots of people are single for a very long time - in fact in the US I recently read that the number of single people now outnumber the total number of married people - so there is strength in numbers, and you're in the majority.
Being single has a lot of advantages - you're able to meet a lot of new people (without absolutely having to spend time with someone). Its also better to be single than to be stuck in a relationship that you aren't happy with - so it could be worse!
