Gene variation increases risk of Schizophrenia (psychiatrymattters.md) - it was reported today that "Researchers have found evidence to suggest that the 3' genomic region of the D2 dopamine receptor (DRD2) gene may convey an increased risk of developing schizophrenia. While the DRD2 gene has been considered a relevant candidate gene in schizophrenia development, results still remain unclear due to differences in findings between linkage analyses and association studies, observe Caroline Dubertret (Hpital Louis Mourier, Colombes, France) and colleagues." I have a brother who is schizophrenic. I have learned that my father, and his three uncles were schizphrenic. I would like to be genetically tested even though I do not appear to have the disease. Where can this be done.
