Schizophrenia Biology Lecture by Stanford Neuroscience Professor
Professor Sapolosky is a well-known neuroendocrinologist, and a professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University. He has written many books (which are both entertaining and highly educational) and is an entertaining speaker. In this video he provides a good overview of the genetics and biological and psychological/social factors that are involved with schizophrenia. This is a great introduction to the science of schizophrenia from an expert in the field. I’ve set the video to jump to just past the 23 minute mark where the schizophrenia lecture begins.
